MyFavorite Artist: Yayoi Kusama Nanxuan Zheng Art 470-02 Emmalyn Gennis November 7, 2014 Yayoi Kusama, a Japanese contemporary artist and writer, started to paint using polka dots and nets as motifs at around age ten, and created fantastic paintings in watercolors, pastels and oils. Her work has transcended two of the most important art movements of the second half of the twentieth century: pop art and minimalism.
